Everyone knows the normal intro for Pixar movies. The lamp jumping on the
Iamp and then looking up toward the viewer. I thought this video was an
interesting play on the Pixar intro. It was neat to see what can be done with
animation and motion graphics today. As a society we are only going
to continue getting better as what can be created. Especially with the
advancement of special effects and 3d motion. This video uses different
aspects of art culture: a popular logo, animation, integrated sound
and motion graphics. This video was done well because it is the first
time someone hasdone a play on the Pixar logo. It makes you think
why has nobody else done this before. The idea is fairly simple, with
the Pixar essentially killing the "I" in Pixar. The lamp gets the standard
punishment that every person would if they were found guilty of killing
another: Being arrested, going to court, found guilty, serve jail sentence,
then either being given a death sentence or put back into the world
like any other person and having to re-acclimate oneself
with society. This parody of the Pixar logo opens the gate for other websites
/people to create parodies of otherpopular logos. Even then, its not limited to
company logos, it can be expanded toward art culture and societal flaws.
